It is time for RR vs DC in Game #9 of Tata IPL 2024!

Having won its season opener against Lucknow Super Giants on Sunday, Rajasthan is ready to take on DC on home turf. If RR snatches a win here, it will equal CSK in points and jump to the top of the points table. DC began the campaign with a defeat to Punjab last Saturday and aims to win this game. Sanju Samson's RR had a terrific start to the seventeenth edition of Tata IPL when they clinched a stunning victory against LSG at home. Rajasthan had a good start when openers Jos Buttler and Yashasvi Jaiswal took on LSG bowlers. However, the team quickly lost the opening pair as Lucknow pacers struck early in the game. Sanju Samson (82) and Riyan Parag (43) took responsibility and started to tick the scoreboard. In the end, Dhruv Jurel hit some boundaries to put 193 on the board. Rajasthan boasts a brilliant lineup of bowlers, including Ashwin, Trent Boult, Sandeep Sharma, and Chahal. Sanju Samson led from the front, and RR bowlers ensured they grabbed a much-needed victory to give a perfect start to their campaign. With rejuvenated energy, Rajasthan is all set to lock horns with DC on the same home ground. 

Rishab Pant is back to lead the Delhi Capitals after missing last season due to a car accident. Pant went through rigorous fitness trials and came back to the side. However, the southpaw had to start the season with a loss. Punjab chased DC's target of 173 and won by four wickets. The spin duo Kuldeep Singh and Axar Patel were brilliant with the ball. Delhi wants the opening pair of David Warner and Mitchell Marsh to provide a solid start. Delhi will be unstoppable if this Australian duo can take on the opposition bowlers. Axar Patel is proving handy with his all-around abilities. Abhishek Porel was fantastic towards the end. 

Rajasthan wants to cash in on the home advantage in this game against Delhi. The team expects some powerful hitting from Yashasvi and Jos Buttler early in the game. For Delhi, a lot depends on how David Warner and Mitchell Marsh take on the bowlers. It will be interesting to see if RR, having won the first game, sticks to the same team or makes some changes. Rishab Pant must work on finding the right balance in the team.
